What we provide

The Expedition Post generates monthly illustrated letters written in the voice of Rex Wilder, a fictional world traveler, tailored to the age and interests of the child you add to your account. Pro members also receive The Membership and destination photo albums built from each letter. Letters are works of creative non-fiction: destinations, recipes and cultural details are drawn from real places, but Rex is a character and each letter is generated for your family, not reported by a person on the ground.

Your account

Keep your login details confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current. We ask only for a child's first name, age and interests — please do not enter a child's surname, address, school, or any other identifying detail.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the service unlawfully, or to generate content that is illegal or abusive;
• attempt to interfere with the service — probing, scraping, malware, or bulk automated requests;
• resell, redistribute, or publish letters and Membership pages as your own product;
• reverse engineer the service or circumvent membership limits;
• share one account across unrelated households.

Printing and copying letters and Membership pages for your own family, co-op group or classroom of the children on your account is expressly allowed and encouraged.

Ownership

We retain ownership of the service, the Rex Wilder character, the illustrations, the design, and the software. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the letters and Membership pages generated for your account for personal and family educational purposes.

Accuracy and service level

Letters and Membership pages are produced with the help of AI and may contain inaccuracies. Please review material before teaching it, and treat recipes, travel details and cultural notes as a starting point rather than verified fact. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and to the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Payments, subscriptions and refunds

Orders are sold by The Expedition Post and processed securely by Stripe, our payment processor. We handle all billing questions, cancellations and returns directly — write to us through our contact page. Our refund terms are on our Refund Policy page. Pro memberships renew automatically until cancelled; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, suspected fraud or security risk, or repeated misuse. You may close your account at any time; on closure we delete your children's profiles and stored letters, so export or print anything you want to keep first.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and we exclude indirect or consequential losses. We do not exclude liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your unlawful use of the service or breach of these terms.

General

We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised version. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it as part of a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
